Hello (or should I say Woof!). My name is Michelle Starr and I love animals!! Ever since I won my first goldfish at the Monterey County Fair, I have had a passion and dedication to animals and their care. I grew up in the beautiful Carmel Valley and was fortunate to participate in a local 4-H chapter. I spent seven years in 4-H raising pigs, sheep, goats, and chickens. Experiencing the joy of caring for a living creature lead me to attend Chico State and study Animal Science. I took many classes that strengthened my animal care skills, such as animal handling, live animal evaluation, animal health & disease, animal nutrition, and feeds & feeding, to name a few. While attending Chico State, I worked at the University Farm as a Farm Tour Guide. I loved sharing with people all the interesting facts about livestock and what it takes to care for them. I graduated in 2011 with my Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science. Beginning in 2012 until 2015, I worked as a Sales Associate at Pet Food Express in Carmel. While at Pet Food Express, I furthered my knowledge on proper animal nutrition, grooming, and general care.

I continue my education and further my expertise by maintaining my CPR certification, attending annual Grooming Seminars, and enrolling in online grooming and pet safety courses. I am an AKC Certified S.A.F.E. Groomer and a member of the National Dog Groomers Association of America. I was also recently certified as a Canine Esthetician! I attend many online courses and hold certificates in various grooming topics. 

My partner, Matt, has been a huge part of All-Starr Pup Camp for the last seven years. He loves dogs as much as I do, and they truly love him. I frequently find him in the Zoomie Zone, throwing a frisbee or tossing a ball for our furry campers.

We have such a wonderful and continuously expanding roster of campers that we now have multiple daycare attendants to help. Elizabeth, Angie, and Kaila are here throughout the week to provide extra hands and laps for playing and snuggling. They all have the same passion for dogs and level of care that I have. 

At All-Starr Pup Camp, we are dedicated to providing care with the highest level of satisfaction for clients, both two and four-legged! Our goal is to better the lives of people and their dogs and bring peace of mind when you are away from your beloved dog. We will do everything we can to exceed your expectations and make your dog wag and wiggle with joy!
